The choice of exposure can be important to improve the growth of your banana plant over the seasons. Indoor, behind glass, it is better to avoid too much exposure to the sun which could dry out your banana leafs. Therefore, prefer the proximity of a west-facing window to bathe it in as much light as possible.  If you have a garden or a balcony, don't hesitate to take your plant out on sunny days, but don't forget to shelter it in winter!

Indoors, it is important to regularly mist water on the foliage to recreate the conditions of its natural environment which is rather humid. In summer/spring, we recommend frequent watering of 2 to 3 watering per week. In winter/autumn, water every 10 to 15 days, cuz the plant is dormant (winter solstice). Finally, it is necessary to stop all fertilizer input from October until March-April.

The banana plant does not tolerate winter cold and frost, it will then tend to lose its foliage from 2°C and must be protected in winter. All banana plants love temperatures between 17°C and 35°C. It can tolerate temperatures down to 12°C during the winter. Don't forget to bring it inside!

The banana plant is NO-TOXIC with our furry friends.
